They are looking for a house that can become theirs. How do you capture buyer’s attention to look at your property over all the other that fit the build?
The packaging of the product. Think about it. Why do you gravitate towards a product in a store? Let’s say you need a product but are not familiar with what is available. You research it. What attracts you to one product over another? Usually the value of the product. How do you create value for your property in a potential buyer’s mind?
As the property owner, you have complete control over creating the appeal and value in your property. You can spend money and do some renovating that attracts buyers but that can become very costly. Staging creates value when selling. Staging improves upon the property to stand out above the other properties. Buyers purchase with emotions. They know what they need and want in a home. Your goal as a seller is to connect with the buyer. Staging counterbalances what you own with what a buyer is looking for. A professional stager can create value while ensuring the investments made are beneficial to the property owner.
If you are planning on selling within a year, keep in mind how you will be able to grab a buyers attention. They do not want to have to do a lot of work when they move into a home unless the price reflects that. They want to purchase something that they believe is of value, and staging helps sellers create value.
