When it comes to the holidays we love to decorate our homes for guests and friends. The focal point being the table that we gather around to share stories and enjoy the meal. Searching for ideas to use this year I found some of these great tablescapes, that to me, felt a little out of the ordinary and easy incorporate some of the composition of them and create similar but unique tablescape.
Theme of color
Going into fall consider some of these beautiful ideas for your gatherings by using gourds, rustic branches and warm colored floral’s in your setting. The pop of color carries your eye down the table as do the simple branches that create drama at the table. The candles give you a feeling of an enchanted forest almost.
This is another great example from Country Living here using flowers and gourds as the color to bring everything together to feel warm and inviting.
Theme of the Season
This whimsical Halloween table was found on Good House Keeping. Look at the simple elements used to make a fantastic table. Black candle sticks with small pumpkins on top, cake stands to hold black and orange treats at various levels to add interest, and gauzy cheese cloth as a table cloth adds to the festivity of the holiday. It’s a great example that shows decorating a table does not have to be expensive.
Theme being the Menu
Let your guest know what the menu will be, use it to direct the theme for the table design This setting was for a seafood dinner party. The menu was inserted into the glasses, a nautical color theme of blue and white, and added table decorations of coral and candles completed this lovely table setting. Love the sea grass place mats and seashell napkin rings too!
Theme of a Holiday
This particular setting I like because it has the feel of the season paired with the feel of the holiday. It is a table setting that can be used over and over again. To make it relate more to a particular holiday the napkin color could be changed out along with the color of the white flowers. The simplicity is so pretty and pleasing to the eye.
If you have a fantastic table setting or tablescape please share with us. I will add the images to my Pinterest dining board
